Storybook Land!

A rare family picture, we don't have many. The man who was driving the Candy Land Express took this for us, and even though he was a Philly fan he was pretty nice.
This is one of the nicest children's parks we have ever been to. It is listed as an child's amusement park but every ride is designed for families to ride together. Each ride is for children 36" and up which means that Seraphina was able to go on whatever she wanted. The highlight was the model T cars that the kids could drive (they were on a rail) but for some reason those pictures are lost in my camera and I can't get them off. It's about an hour away from us and only cost $20 to get in it's completely covered by nice old growth trees so it's very shady and cool (it was 80 yesterday and we didn't feel it at all) and the rides are unlimited. The kids were not pushed once, didn't have to stand in line to ride anything, never waited for a toilet (which were really clean) and every person we met was friendly and happy that we were there. I know I sound like an advertisement for Storybook Land but if you've been to an amusement park with small children these things are impossible to find. (even Sesame Place isn't really for little ones and a lot of the employees are mean) The kids had so much fun and it was just a lovely day.The park has been opened since 1947 and the little houses you see in the pictures are the different stories, you push a button and it tells you the tale, some of them were hard to understand because they were so old but the little puppet show was enough to entertain the kids even if they couldn't make out the words. Seraphina's favorite was sleeping beauty and she pushed the button about 5 times in a row. She was afraid of the dwarf's in Snow Whites house and so she tried to get away from them. (you can sort of see her looking freaked out in the 1st picture that's us leaving the house as the story is still going) She decided she was going to live there and her house would be Mistress Mary's house. Sam didn't have a favorite he liked them all but he would live in the Crooked Man's house. Daddy was going to live in Little Red Riding Hood's house and I would live in the brick house from the 3 pigs. We had a great time and for those living close by with kids it's about an hour south of us and really worth the trip. We want to go back at Christmas time because all of the houses get decorated differently and the North pole (we didn't get to see we ran out of time) has all kinds of special things going on. We hope to go back when Daddy comes home if the kids are still into it.
