Everyone loves a parade!

WARNING -If you are not a Yankee fan you may want to skip this posting.

Finally found a spot and waiting for the action. It was cold but not too bad in the sea of people.

The paper is starting to fall....

Sam took all of the photos as I was holding Seraphina on my shoulders. That is a dude dressed up like Big Bird. I looked at this picture 4 times before I realized John and Susan (broadcasters) were passing by.

Sam liked that the paper got stuck on the ledge

If you don't know who this guy is you have obviously never sat with the real fans (aka the cheaper seats). Freddie gets to be on the float!

It took me almost three days to get all of the paper out of my hair. Sam took this from his perch above us. Seraphina was resting here.

JOBA!!!!

My favorite Yankee

The joy of Sam's day "Mom, Mo waved right to me"

After the parade.

It was a great day and we had a blast. There will hopefully be other parades but there will never be another first ticker tape parade (Or as Pheenie calls it the first snickertape parade). We are blessed to be able to share these memories with our extended family also and wish the Daddy had been able to get off of work to join us. Maybe next year :)

TRICK OR TREAT

Seraphina making the soul cakes, these are very hard to make and as you can see they came out beautifully.

Sam wearing the big pumpkin

Now Pheenie

Now Jeff. Sorry with all this hair I was not about to put that pumpkin on my head.

Our pumpkins glowing by candle light. Seraphina will not hurt hers so you can't see it glow. Mine is obviously the Yankee pumpkin

In regular light so you can see Pheenie's painted one

Seraphina wearing her Halloween costume. She is Starfire from the Teen Titans. She has loved Robin (from Batman) since she was a baby and Starfire is his girlfriend.

Sam as Darth Vader

Beating up Darth Maul

out trick or treating with Daddy in his Viking hat

Me and the kids trick or treating. The one time of year you can dress like a witch and not get weird looks.

This is one of my favorite pictures. He is getting so big but here you can still see that inner little boy loving Halloween.

Pheenie wasn't shy after the first couple of blocks.

As you can see she was leading the way after a while

Getting tired

Enjoying the loot

My favorite season

Fall is my favorite time of the year and has been since I was little. Having children has only increased my love of this time. Watching them enjoy the things that I did as a kid is especially fun.

The cake Pheenie made for the Fall festival at Sam's school. She actually won it back in the cake walk.

Digging through the graveyard for treasure

Making sand art, though you can't see her in this picture our favorite teacher Mrs. Fullerton was here helping her.

There is nothing better then a pumpkin patch. We went with Katherine and her beautiful family. The kids get such a kick out of knowing that we have known each other since we were babies and I am so fortunate to still have that friendship after all of these years.

Ben the honey eating bear

Pheenie and Dave in the silly head things that we love

On the hay ride, this was the best I could get as Ben was more interested in what Sam was doing.

Sam finds a good one, S is still searching

Pheenie picks her pumpkin

Dave and Jeff playing with Ben

One of my favorite pictures of the day Pheenie and Ben walking through the corn maze hand in hand

Another favorite - Pheenie and Sam reading the sign. It looks sweet until you notice she is using Sam to fix her shoe.

After the pumpkin patch we went to lunch and then the candy store. I don't have any pictures of that because my camera was being weird. We didn't want the day to end and we were so close that we decided to go to one of my favorite places in NJ. Longstreet Farms in Holmdel park. The kids looking at the horse in one of the moments that my camera decided to work.

With the baby cow that Sammy liked

Looking at a turkey

On the swing, right after this the camera died again so I don't have the pictures of the actual riding of the swing

Somewhere there is a picture of me and my siblings sitting on this rock if I'm not mistaken.

Pheenie and Daddy going off on an adventure

Sam collecting leaves in the beautiful fall colored park

The adventure led to a rolling hill

Sam rolling. It is days like these that remind me of all the simple pleasures that life blesses us with. We had such a lovely Sunday with friends and family and the fall weather was just perfect.

Disney Trip part 1

We took over 500 pictures and all of them are great. Some are a little dark but still wonderful and I tried to share a little bit of each so you could see how much fun we had. We are already planning things to do when we go back as there were just so many things we missed, still we had such a great time. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the trip!

Getting our bags ready to go

Sam does not like to fly

Flying doesn't bother Pheenie

I had to get a picture in front of Spidey

In the airport Sam liked this picture

Pheenie riding the shuttle to the hotel

On the shuttle on the way to the hotel

Getting ready to ride the teacups

Papa and Gram on the teacups

Sammy waiting to ride Star Tours

Jeff liked this view so he took a picture of it

Another favorite picture, Jeff and Pheenie counting all the fun things they saw at the end of the day in the hotel.

In the center of the Magic Kingdom

Waiting to ride the magic carpets

The 1st character we saw was Aladdin, as you can see from Sam's bright red face it was HOT

Cooling off

On the Pirates of the Caribbean ride

My boyfriend, Jack

Pressing a penny we came home with a lot of these

Watching the parade

The start of the parade (This one has to be enlarged to see the details, sorry I tried)

The castle lit in spooky colors

Fireworks at the end of the Halloween party they went on for almost 30 minutes and were amazing

Not many kids can say they went trick or treating in Disney World, but Sam and Pheenie can. (I've lost my head somehow)

Sam and the Queen of Hearts at the Halloween party (Pheenie was afraid of her)

I think I was more excited about Eeyore then the kids were

Our princess with Cinderella's coach

Outside at the end of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Outside of the animal kingdom, which was my favorite park naturally.

The kids and Terk from Tarzan

Disney Trip Part 2

There were so many great pictures that I had to split these, this is the Animal Kingdom mostly and some of the Indiana Jones show which was in Hollywood.

Seraphina took off running to catch up with King Louie

Posing with some primates

Eating at the Yak and Yeti

Sam ringing a bell for luck and protection

This tiger looks like it is right at our feet but there is a pane of glass between us

Pheenie and I playing in the fountains in "Nepal"

Meeting Pluto and Goofy. Pluto signed our autograph books on his nose

Eating in the ice cave at the T-Rex Cafe

Sam's favorite part the "Indiana Jones Stunt Show"

Disney trip part 3

Here are the later pictures from the last days of the trip.

Singing in the Rain

We love things like this as you may have noticed by now

The kids were chosen to be in a parade. Sam was completely embarrassed but Pheenie loved it.

Outside of the Nemo ride that Pheenie insisted on going on

Being eaten by Bruce

Entering Epcot

The kids and Dad in "Mexico"

Jeff loved Norway and all things viking but this is my favorite photo

The call to the breakfast

Belle was the first princess Seraphina met at the breakfast and she was thrilled.

Seraphina overjoyed!

After meeting Cinderella

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. Pheenie has joy written all over her face.

Seraphina with her Favorite Princess

Snow White is her least favorite but you'd never guess from this picture

Eating breakfast with the Princesses

Sam on his throne

Our own Sleeping Beauty

The prince wakes the princess

On the viking ship

Fighting the troll in "Norway"

Don't let Sam fool you he was excited to see Mary Poppins.

Alice

Sam phoning home...

Sam is so not into the characters but he is doing it for Pheenie. Marie from AristoCats.

Eating pastry in "France"

Beast and a less then excited Sam. Pheenie was happy!

Not exactly the Calderai Fountain, but probably as close as I'm ever going to get to Italy. The Neptune statue is especially important to me as most of you know I grew up in Neptune, NJ.

Outside of the Rain Forest Cafe with Papa

Our last night in Disney

It took us a while but we managed to find Jasmine right before we left for home!

Seraphina and her Gorilla riding home, she looks scared but she is actually watching TV.

Sam is watching TV but was also scared, he didn't enjoy flying even though as a baby he loved it.

bikes and curls

Seraphina has always had her big wheel but never actually gotten on the road with it. It works great on the grass and dirt but doesn't really get good traction on the street. She had to get on the real bike to go in the road and as you can see she really enjoyed it.

Sam watching her go...

Daddy helping Pheenie turn

Just being silly with the Samhain decorations

Pheenie got curlers and this was the result. She looks so much like me when I was little in this picture it isn't funny. Sadly about 5 minutes after this picture was taken she decided she didn't like the curls anymore. Fickle Pheenie. We will post Disney pictures when we return!
