Big weekend!

So this weekend was pretty much the last big one we would have before Jeff leaves and we filled it with so many fun memories. The family support group did the annual appreciation day early this year (as most of the troops will not be here in August) and we were worried it would be too cold. Obviously we had nothing to worry about it was 98 degrees on Sat and 97 on Sunday. It was HOT at the Yankee game but the beach was so lovely with the wind coming over the water. So there are a lot of pictures here but I just couldn't pick which ones to use. We had so much fun and even though Seaside isn't my favorite place in NJ it was great fun, we did the water park with the kids and the beach. Seraphina loved the lazy river and Sammy really enjoyed the water slides. Jeff and I just had fun being with our family and watching our little ones have so much fun. Love to all!

It was bat day at Yankee Stadium, the tradition is to hold up your bat in thanks.

We watered the kids down well, Sam is waving his washcloth after Giambi hit a homer!

Seraphina was wiped out by the end of the day at the beach. The kids bury Dad in the sand.

Sam fishing for a prize (he won one for him and one for his sister) The cutest mermaid I know.

Sam and Jeff on the carousel (it's hard to see them) Jeff and Sam winning the clown shoot game

Sammy learned a lesson that every kid in NJ eventually learns, the boardwalk games are fixed but he did win this panda shooting water in the clowns mouth so it wasn't a total disappointment.

Seraphina and Dad coming out of the water and Sammy looking a little too much like he's from NJ.

Our cute little family photo until Sam stuck out his tongue. The kids digging in the sand.

Sam at the water park and Pheenie and I having a heart to heart.
This is why I weigh 500 pounds, NJ pizza is the best ever and Pheenie really wanted to eat hers like we did. She almost finished the slice but Dad had to take over about 3/4 of the way through.

It was low tide so Sam and Daddy went out to get to the waves. Sam loves how this picture makes it look like he is way out there.

It looks like you guys had a wonderful time. The picture of Jeff carrying Pheenie out of the water is beautiful.
