The many adventures of SamWinky: Franklin Institute Camp In!

Seraphina is no longer a Daisy but the trip to the Franklin was the last big event for her and I didn't want to miss the chance to share it. I did this camp in when I was a scout and it remains one of my absolute favorite scouting memories. There are few things cooler then spending the night in a museum! As it is a girls only trip Sam and Daddy had to leave but since mom is too scared to drive in Philly they also came back the next day to get us. We spent an entire weekend in the museum and finally saw all of it!

Her new uniform, I cried when she put it on. I can't believe she is old enough for Brownies already.

Sadly this is the only picture I have from this event. We got really bad seats this year so none of the others came out. Sam is standing between the two girls with jackets on. He is receiving his award for perfect scores on the standardized tests for 4th grade.

And now to the camping. Here we are waiting to check in. Arnold also got to spend the night in the museum.

Looking at Venus through the Zeiss refractor telescope. I've seen Venus many times but through this thing it was like looking at a marble, you could actually see all the layers of color. Very cool!

Seraphina has never been a huge fan of the animatronic dinosaurs so Sidney is holding her hand so she isn't scared.

Seraphina is resting her head on Avery's shoulder. She is Sidney's little sister and they are Samantha's daughters. Sadly they are all moving to California next month.Yet again Seraphina is forced to say goodbye to good friends.
