Fun days

Last year right before Jeff left we took the kids to Storybook Land, the best amusement park for small children I've ever seen. The Candy Cane Express rides through the park and here we are on it this year. We had the picture from last year too so I thought it might be fun to compare just how much the kids have grown. Last year we went on June 2nd so it's a little over a year ago.

We went hiking on Sunday and had a great time until we realized our Deep Woods Off wasn't keeping the ticks off but luckily only Daddy and I got bit. I hate ticks.

More storybook land!
Sleeping beauty

Our little bunny.

Alice in Wonderland down the rabbit hole

Lost in the card Maze

Still lost.

Jack and Jill going "up the hill"

And coming down. This women on the cell phone was not paying attention to her kid at all and he nearly knocked Seraphina off the slide. Why bring your kids to a park and then ignore them?
At the North Pole

Daddy and Frosty

Pheenie and I flying with Dumbo

Sam getting ready to fly

Sam and Daddy in Alice's teacup

Running through the sprinklers, the kids favorite part of course.
Sam eating a brownie and Seraphina showing Daddy her Cinderella cookie, Daddy had a gingerbread man.

These pictures are from the Popcorn Park Zoo, and before you think I've lost my mind it isn't a zoo like you think. All of these animals were rescued from bad situations but as they can't be re-released into the wild they are kept here. You can adopt the domestic animals they rescue but the wild ones live out the rest of their days in safety and with quality care. This is the way I wish all zoos took in animals as there are so many that need good homes. Most of them were either going to be pets until they got too big for the people who took them in, or in the case of the big cats they were saved from canned hunts. We looked at the dogs too and perhaps some time soon we will bring a new one into our home.

This little baby was rescued from a testing facility in Mass. and he really loved the peanuts Seraphina was feeding him. It's hard to tell but he is a baboon.

This Vietnamese potbelly pig was taken in as a pet and when he got too big he was dumped in the woods in Freehold NJ he got hit by a car but fortunately was saved and now lives here.

One of many goats that was abandoned outside of the park, they were left on the highway and with no where else to go they ended up at the "zoo"
