Back to School night

Sammy had his back to school night yesterday and it went very well. Mrs. Fullerton is a wonderful teacher Sammy assures us, and she in turn tells us he has been a wonderful student. He is doing very well in all his academics and he also is one of the best behaved students in the class. We are very proud of him, of course. This school seems to be much better for him then the last and we are realizing that things do always happen for a reason. His old school did not meet the state criteria and we are told there have been a lot of changes in an attempt to do so (including taking out recess, which would have killed Sammy) so we are very glad that he is actually in the better of the two schools. The technology is a bit scary to Jeff and myself (the kids have laptops connected to a white board that they use for group lessons and homework assignments are done via the net just to name a couple of things) but we are trying to adapt. We found ourselves telling Sam when we were in school the principal didn't even have a computer in the office. It's amazing how things change so quickly. He is much happier this year though and we are all celebrating that fact. The emotional issues he had last school year don't seem to be here this year and there isn't anyone bullying him, he told me tonight that all his classmates were his friends this year. We hope that you are all well and we will post more photos soon. LOVE!
