Seraphina, 6 years old

As you could see from the last post Seraphina has grown a lot over the years. This is her side of the wall and you will notice a growth spurt happened this past year. She grew 3 inches since her last birthday.



She gets pink flowers on every birthday these are Hyacinths she planted out in the backyard.




Carnations. My dad has always given me red ones and Jeff liked the tradition so hers are pink and from daddy.

Taken before we went to Rita's for ice cream and about 5 minutes before she fell and bloodied her nose :(

As you can see she recovered and is ready to open her gifts.

Seraphina loves Nick and Nora PJ's and Grandma and Grandpa hooked her up with a summer set, she has already worn them twice.

Everyone loves Miss Piggy, but Pheenie REALLY loves her.

Seraphina has "needed" a real bed for the dollhouse since Christmas. Thank you Gram and Poppa! She loves it.

Daddy did not get to decorate an ice cream cake this year. For some reason she wanted a real cake, next year Daddy is just going to put frosting in a cake pan because that is all she ate. She picked Dr. Suess as her theme and Daddy did a fantastic job as always! (I am especially fond of Fox in Socks)

As you can see she also loves Daddy's artistic work.

The day after Seraphina's birthday we went out to lunch with Katherine and Ben. Here he is reading a book to Sam. (Notice the turquoise shirt Sam is wearing. The awareness color for CDH is turquoise and Sammy wanted to wear it for Ben. I love my boy for the sweet tender soul he isn't afraid to show.)

Ben picked this beautiful dress out for Pheenie all by himself and she loves it. I will post the picture of her wearing it in my next posting.

After lunch with Ben we went to ballet. Here she is practicing for her recital.

After ballet Sam had a game. It was cold and rainy too. Here he is playing 2nd base.

Some more birthday gifts arrived the next day. This cool cookbook has puzzles that you figure out to get the recipes and her princess apron. Thanks Aunt Suzy!

And this! The trampoline is a big hit. As everyone knows Seraphina is always bouncing, now she can go even higher. Thank you Nana!

A microphone, that has buttons you push for the crowd to cheer you on. Clearly Sam is amused by her song.

The crane machine. Nana warned us of an annoying toy and I'm not sure if this was the one she meant or not but it certainly is annoying. While the crane part is really cute and they enjoy it the music never stops playing and it is VERY loud. Very very loud. Below Pheenie did not get a prize.

Daddy was doing homework so she was only allowed to play for a short while and here he is turning around from the computer to cheer her on (we told her once she got a prize that was it for the night. I'm pretty sure he was cheering to shut it up)
