Seraphina and I are making papier-mache eggs for our Easter decorations the following pictures are the first stages and the silliness that followed.

just being silly with her messy hands.
Sam's school is cutting funding for the gifted program. His teacher decided to give the students a chance to come to a Board of Education meeting and put a face to the program. Sam is here trying to get the funding back for the PPEG program (Pemberton Program for the Exceptionally Gifted) While I doubt that it will happen I am very proud of him for trying to fight for something he believes in.
They were very clever the presentation was "how to run a business" and Sam was part of the advertising committee there he is as an orange sign.

The little girls up front telling people about the different ways businesses can break up their money to continue thriving.

Sam is speaking here about the importance of building up "small businesses" He said " There is a need for small businesses in society even if there are larger businesses who offer the same things. Small businesses give people the chance to dream and do their best everyday." Sadly the majority of the board members weren't even paying attention to what the kids had to say.

The eggs look like a lot of fun. we are painting paper mache eggs this year too!
Sam, you should be very proud of yourself and your classmates. It takes courage and conviction to do something you believe in. Every person fighting for a cause they believe in makes a difference.
Love, Katherine
