Normally I try not to solicit funds for the groups we support, but this time I will make an exception. The USO has done a lot for our family while Jeff has been gone, as well as things for Jeff over in Iraq. From shows to parties they have really tried to keep the kids spirits up. (They also paid for the first three months of karate and ballet as a gift to the kids for their sacrifice) Nothing makes us happier then getting mail from Daddy, so you can imagine they were excited when a big brown envelope arrived. Well bliss followed when the envelope contained books and when the DVD started to play and it was Daddy reading, you can see the smiles on their faces in the pictures. The USO sponsors this program which is called "United Through Reading". Jeff picked some books and they made the DVD of him reading them to the kids. Sam said Daddy looked sad at the end but he was happy to read with him. I could tell the part "Max was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best of all" was tough for him (was tough for me as well) but Seraphina only sees Daddy reading to her so it's all good. The kids actually got to speak to Jeff who managed to call as they were getting the envelope so he heard first hand how happy they were. The USO has given us a lot while he was away but this will be a treasured memory that they can hold onto and one day when they are all grown up they will know their Dad served for them and did all he could to let them know he loves them while he was doing so. If you have some to spare the USO is a great group and they can always use some help.

What a beautiful gift that is. The smiles on their faces make it clear how happy they are to have Daddy read to them.
You guys are all making a huge sacrifice for our country and I am hoping that the days until Jeff is home again pass quickly for you.
We Love you!
what an amazing program that is. their smiles are so great!
How beautiful they look with happy smiles. It is so nice to see that daddy can still make them smile even when he is far away. I know how much they miss him and I can only imagine how much he misses them. Hopefully it wan't be long before they can all be together again and he can read with them crawling all over him, something i know Jeff can't wait for. Love to all Mom
